The Youngstown State Penguins have big expectations for this up coming season and one key component to their success is running back Jamaine Cook. Built in the mode of Baltimore Ravens Ray Rice, Cook is a durable workhorse for the Penguins offense that basically where the most successful offensive unit in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. Placed behind one of the largest offensive lines in football Cook can use his one-cut ability to churn out yard after yard.

Cook rushed for 1,386 yards on 271 and scored 13 touchdowns adding 20 catches for 183 and one score for 1,599 all-purpose yards. The Cleveland, Oh native had eight 100-yard rushing games, including a school-tying six straight games of reaching the century mark. The most impressive aspect to me is Cook carried the ball 30x plus in six games last season. Those numbers remind me of Joique Bell from Wayne State who was the D2 Player of the Year and currently plays for the Detroit Lions. Both players are very similar and both are extremely talented.
