Finished second team All Big East in 2011, Gruder was anchor to Panthers defense during his career. Leading the team in tackles in both 2009 and 2011 and finishing second in 2010. Invited to play in the East West Shrine game, Gruder was able to display the traits teams crave in looking for high motor linebacker with charcater.
