Flying under the NFL Draft radar is Miami Hurricanes, versatile cornerback Lee Chambers, although that may all change after the schools March 8th date set the Canes’ Pro Day. Chambers has been training for the combine since the conclusion of the season and is ready to open the eyes of the NFL scouts and coaches on hand by running under a 4.4 flat and jumping higher than 39 inches in his vertical.

The CoffeevilleHigh Schoolstand-out from Coffeeville, MississippiChambers may be taking a similar path to the draft like former Canes’ defensive back Sam Shields who switched from receiver to corner in 2009 which is the same thing Chambers did except from the running back position. Rushing 60 times for 272 yards, Chambers look for the benefit of the team and switched from the offense to the defense where he appeared in 18 games over the last two seasons.

Chambers was also invited to the ‘Battle of Florida’ All-Star game that took place in Boca Raton, Floridagiving the four-year letterman the opportunity to showcase his athleticism to the scouts on hand for the week long event.
