Voted the 2011 receiver of the year for the University of Wyoming, Mazi made an immediate impact for the Cowboys when he arrived on campus in 2010.  Over his two year career at Wyoming, Mazi reaped the benefits of a tenacious work ethic by catching 58 passes for 613 yards and 4 touchdowns.  In his senior campaign, he caught 40 balls at a clip of over 10 yards per reception.  In 3 different games in 2011, Mazi had 6 or more receptions, showcasing a knack for becoming a trustworthy possession receiver.  He also demonstrated big play abilities by hauling in a catch over 40 yards in 3 different games as well.  Prior to arriving at Wyoming, Mazi starred for Snow Community College in Utah where he was named First-Team all WSFL as a wide receiver and return specialist.  He caught 40 balls for 827 yards and 11 touchdowns while averaging an impressive 20.7 yards per catch.  As a kick returner, he further cemented his status as a versatile and dangerous weapon by averaging over 30 yards per return while accumulating 637 return yards.

Mazi has turned in gaudy and impressive statistics at every level of football he has competed in.  With top-end quickness and speed, exceptional route running skills, and the grit and toughness coaches salivate over, Mazi possesses that rare and un-coachable knack to just flat out make plays all over the football field.  At 6’1” and 200 lbs. he has the protptypical size of a NFL wide receiver, which was 6’0” ½ and 203 lbs. in 2011.  He is a dynamic athlete in the open field and a threat to score whenever the ball is in his hands.  His deep and thorough understanding of the game is one of his biggest assets, and has allowed him to make adjustments to excel against his competition.
