Bishop Robert Christopher Brown III is the son of Evangelist Sherlene Brown and the late Robert Brown, Jr.  He attended Darlington County School System.  In 1993, he graduated from Mayo High School.  In 1999, he graduated from Morris College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education.  He earned his Masters of Administration from Grand Canyon University in July 2006.  Bishop Brown has worked as a middle school math and science teacher, football and basketball coach, principal apprentice, assistant principal, and won the honor of teacher of the year in 2001-2002 all while at Bennettsville Middle School.  He has also served as an assistant principal at Marlboro County High School and the principal of Clio Elementary Middle School.

In 1995, under the guided hand of his spiritual father Bishop William Young Jr., Bishop Brown became a licensed minister.  In 2000, he was ordained as an Elder.  In 2002, he was ordained as the youth pastor of Power Outreach Cathedral.  He then served as the Assistant Pastor of The Refreshing Springs Family Worship Center, in Florence S.C, where Bishop William H. Young, Jr. is the Pastor and Presiding Prelate.

On May 13, 2007, after following the voice of God, Bishop Brown birthed a ministry. The Sword of Truth Outreach Ministries is located at 105 Cheraw Street in Bennettsville, S.C. and is a place that effectively ministers to, empowers and trains the next generation of kingdom (of God) leaders with Kingdom Principles through the delivery of the engrafted Word of God. Bishop Brown is currently in fellowship, covered, and in covenant relationship with The Christian Covenant Fellowship of Ministries of Marion, S.C, where Bishop Michael Blue is the Founder and Presiding Prelate.
