Shriekfest Radio! Denise Gossett interviews Screenwriter Kristi Barnett!

Kristi was born in Wellington, NZ and is a dual NZ/British screenwriter and script consultant who has been professionally writing genre screenplays since 2009 including: The award winning optioned horror They Hide In The Dark (www.theyhideinthedarkmovie.com); the optioned horror The Raft (http://www.libertinepictures.com/wp-content/uploads/Media-release_Big-Break-Wraps_24-09-14.pdf) and the latest horror and festival finalist The Walls.  Her first production was the first movie rolled out over Twitter, the pioneering transmedia horror, Hurst (aka@KarenBarley) (www.karenbarley.co.uk). She has been hired as a script consultant for L.A production company, Philantos and contracted as Script Reader & consultant for the NZ Writers Guild consulting on various genres.  She was mentored by Kudos productions through the prestigious UK’s Red Planet Prize with the gritty single drama, The Board, which is currently in development with director Paul Campion (The Devil’s Rock).  She was a Shriekfest Finalist in 2015 with her screenplay "The Walls".
