ONLY THE WORTHY?

If we keep telling ourselves we are good masons while holding back on challenges and purpose, then we are growing unicorns.  On the other side of the veil are tough questions. Questions only a grown man can answer. Are you worthy?  Are you able to demonstrate your understanding of the priniciples of the Entered Apprentice and how they have changed your life?  What proof to you offer that you are worthy of the next degree? Honest men realize their shortcomings.  Good men realize their humility.  Which do you believe?  The easy path- full of flattery and excuses or an earnest path- purpose discovered through challenges, with a hope that you will find purpose and truth. Do you believe, do you seek the truth knowledge? Do you deserve the challenge? Are you able to go about your work unimpeded by an ambition, an expectation of rank or recognition?   If behaving as a mason has left you with questions unanswered, there is another path. It is ancient and arduous and there is no surity that the challenges will be successfully achieved.  That weight is on your shoulders and your shoulders alone.  Why? At the end of days, truth is all encompassing. The path of proof, of purpose is the way a man  prepares. To be put to the test and to face the challenge, adapting, showing resolve and overcoming self doubt, is where you belong.  Moralizing is not morality. Words are wishes. Proving your worth is the masonic way.  Step up.It is the only way to find if you are worth of the test. Hesitating you learn nothing. It is daunting yes. Maybe it is the task only fools would undertake.  Are you foolish enough to face truth?   Is that hope what drew you to the Craft? Is that what the Brotherhood has been protecting all these years?
