Hank Jones PoliSports

Apparently, it HAS been five years! Yep, five years ago today, Wednesday 5/22/2019, Hank Jones PoliSports made its debut here on Global Patriot Radio!

On that first show I was joined by the esteemed Vito Esposito, who helped me through the first couple weeks before me turning me loose to fly solo! I was also supported and encouraged by the late, great Kel Fritzi, another GPR host at the time, who talked me up a bit during her show, and who popped into the chat room each week to encourage, support, and even suggest future show subjects. Thus was born the episode "Battle of the Sexes", which detailed the history of, and behind, the "intergender" tennis match between Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King at the Houston Atrodome in 1973.

Along the way I have had some fab=ntastic guests. Steve Deace, John Lofgren, Felicia Goodson, Nikki and Sam Britt, KarmaGirl Rene, Jim Hoft, HawkeyeKirk, and of course The Crew of HawkeyeMike, Brother Tommy, TBodee and IndyHawk. As well, repeat callers like Sue From New Mexico, Boyd The Alaskan, Joe Gibson, Histrionic Mike and Hometown Rick have been great moments. And again, I can NOT thank Vito and Al enough for their support and encouragement!

I wish I had the vision and creativity to do one of those retrospectives of "Great Moments in PoliSports", or some such. As it is, I'll be covering the news of the day in both Politics and Sports. And of course, I'll talk a bit about my recent vacation and my adorable grandson!
