1st and 2nd Kings starts from 1st and 2nd Samuels, it is sometimes called the book of the Kings. In 1st Kings it started with the disobedience of Solom and continues to keep Israel and Judah separated. Elijah the prophet has come on the scene and the people came together but each King did as the king before him which kept the people separated. The Believer can learn a lot from these books to help them remember God does not lie.
