David made note in Psalms 34:1-4 that he will bless the Lord at all times and his praise shall continuelly be in his mouth because of verse 4. God delivered him from all his fears. Looking back on Davids situation he was running for his life. King Saul wanted to kill him. He could not kill him because God was in charge of Davids life. Many things that David thought was good God removed him from it, for instance being the king son in law, eating at the kings table, and attending celebrations with the Royal Family. It felt good to David but it wasn't good for him. God was going to set David up in his own Kingdom. It reminds me not to be weary in well doing, God will exault in due time. David became king and ruled.
