Angela Bennett is a native Houstonian, born July 19, 1963 to the late Carole AllenSimmons and the late Jack Bennett, Sr. Angela comes from a lineage of singers .Her mother recognized her talent early and by age 9 Angela was singing publiclywith very little coaching.Angela debuted as a solo artist at the age of 12. Angela traveled widely over the USA dedicating her time and talent to bothrecorded and greatly renowned Greater Emmanuel and Southeast Inspirationalchoirs. After 25 years of serving faithfully, and following the untimely death ofher mother, opportunity knocked, a door was opened and Angela joined the theatre singing and acting group of “The Strong”. She traveled for more than a year withthis group. While traveling and singing, opportunity brought her to Chicago, IL. While there Angela sang and recorded as a featured soloist with Ricky Dillard.
