Matt McDowell is the Chief of Training for the North Charleston Fire Department, Lieutenant with the Goose Creek Rural Fire Department, Instructor for the South Carolina Fire Academy and President of SAFE Firefighter, LLC. He has a degree in Fire Administration and has previously served as a Captain with the Bluffton Township Fire District, President/Co-Founder of the Lowcountry FOOLS and Training Officer for the Hardeeville Fire Department in South Carolina and Firefighter for the Hyattsville Volunteer Fire Department in Prince George’s County, Maryland.
