Join Capt. Mike Dugan (FDNY) and Capt. Mike Gagliano (Seattle Fire) on Wednesday December 9, at 4:30 PM (Pacific) as they chat with Lt. Steven Hamilton of the Fort Jackson Fire Department (SC) on the important topic of active shooter incidents and responding to scenes of violence.

The world is stunned by the attacks on Paris and our recent tragedy in San Bernardino. For firefighters, the challenge is immense as we are on scene rapidly, unarmed and still expected to act. And it is not in our blood to just stand by and do nothing when people are in danger. Lt. Hamilton will challenge our thinking on how best to prepare for the challenges that face us as terrorism and violence at our emergencies continues to threaten the fire service.

On top of it all we will be celebrating the 60th birthday of my host Michael McSweeny Dugan. Jump on just to wish him well or bust his chops just a bit.
