NyAirWaves Radio Show! Exclusive Interview w/ Producer Paul Morris

Paul was born in 1987, growing up in southeastern MI. He was always passionate about music, self-taught on guitar, piano, and any other instrument he could get my hands on. He first learned to record at the age of 16, from that point on he’s been recording himself and others. “Since I haven't released anything I consider it my therapy. I grew up listening to everything so I like to combine genres when it comes to writing my own music. I really love the acoustic guitar, and though I'm not a strong vocalist I enjoy singing mostly when no one's listening.” He had a regular 9-5 after High School and put myself through College in Ann Arbor. I received a Music certificate in Music Production and Engineering and started working at my first Professional studio off Grand River and Lahser in Detroit.  I eventually ended up as the last Engineer a ton of the most sought after and award winning studios in Detroit called Harmonie Park. I can't begin to tell you all the people I worked with down there. I made some great Connections.  He’s Gone through so much throughout his career and my history.  But he says one of his biggest accomplishments was overcoming his addiction. “I checked myself into rehab and got the help I needed. I think it's important people know they are not alone and today is a new day. It's A blessing to be alive and I remember to stay thankful even through tough times.” . After his Grandparents passed I bought their house and converted it into a professional home studio where I am teaching for a school in California called The Recording Connection and recording many old Motown groups as well as producing myself and friends.
