Is Ukraine a part of NATO, lots of people have asked, so here's what I found to be true!  The invasion began at dawn on Febuary 24, 2022 and was described as the biggest attack on a European country since the second world war.. At the June 2021 Brussels summit, NATO leaders reiterated the decision taken at the 2008 Bucharest Summit that Ukraine would become a member of the alliance with the NATO MAP as an integral part of the process and Ukraine's right to determine it's own future and foreign policy course without outside interference..

Russia's capability:  It has 1.33 million active military personnel, according to statista, but only around 4,182 military aircraft compared with NATO's combined 20,633, and 598 military ships compared to NATO's 2,151.  "Russia's ground combat vehicle capacity is more competitive," said Statista..
