Mankind is as a worm in comparison to the Almighty God, and all power BELONGS to Him. Even the weakness of God is stronger than men (1 Corinthians 1:15). In Jesus' hand is the soul of every living thing. So what is man that God should be mindful of him? There is none that can deliver himself out of Jesus' hand! We are all the work of His hands.
It is good for us to have a righteous estimation of ourselves, and not to have a higher opinion of ourselves than we ought to have. It is Jesus' strength and power which causes us to overcome in spiritual warfare; not our own wits nor saavy. Our victories come as a result of our dependance upon and obedience to Jesus Christ and His Word.
