The power of the New Testament Church made demons tremble and the disciples turned the world upside down for Jesus Christ. For the most part, entire denominations today operate without the Holy Spirit. They are devoid of the presence of Jesus, bankrupt of all spiritual gifts. They have a form of religion without any power, conviction or saving message. They have cultivated a friendship with the world. Some live in sin and ridicule the supernatural, tossing aside all teachings about heaven, hell, repentance and God’s judgment. They are spiritually weak and cold. Devils no longer fear them. Christians have no respect and little influences on society.
Paul said, “Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs and wonders, and mighty deeds,” (II Cor. 12:12).
