BEWITCHING BLASPHEMY
The Apostle Paul was absolutely amazed when he returned to the Galatians Church to find those people that he had taught about Jesus totally bewitched. He asked them, (Gal 3:1), “O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?”
Paul saw that these Christians were being led blindly and unresistingly onto their own destruction. That is, foolish for having yielded to the influence of the false teachers, and for having embraced doctrines that tended to subvert the gospel of the Redeemer.
Notice the Apostle asked, WHO HATH BEWITCHED YOU? Who indicates that a certain person had bewitched the Galatian Church that when Paul left them, they were foundational Believers. The word bewitch means:
