Charles Barkley is retiring from television. During NBA TV's live NBA Finals Game 4 postgame coverage, Barkley made the announcement that he will be retiring from television at the end of the 2024-2025 NBA season. Barkley said during the broadcast that no matter what happens in the midst of the ongoing NBA media rights deal negotiations he plans to retire from television. In addition, Barkley also expressed that he did not want to work for another network and wanted to finish his television career with TNT. Barkley has been with TNT since 2000 being a part of the award-winning studio show Inside the NBA alongside Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O'Neal. As a studio analyst, Barkley has won five Sports Emmy awards.
