Former Chicago Bears linebacker Dick Butkus has passed away at the age of 80. Despite only playing nine seasons in the NFL, Butkus played his entire career with the Chicago Bears. During his time in Chicago, Butkus won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award in 1969 and 1970. In addition, he was an eight-time Pro Bowler, five-time first team All-Pro selection, three-time second team All-Pro selection and a member of the 1960's and 1970's NFL All-Decade teams and 75th anniversary and 100th anniversary NFL all-time teams. Butkus was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1979. He is survived by his wife and three children.
