A Chat in the Garden with Monique A. J. Smith

Keturah Cox joined St. Thomas as the Associate Director of Academic Support in summer 2021.

She brings more than seven years of experience working in academic support, mentoring and compliance roles in various Division I athletics departments. Prior to St. Thomas, Cox worked in an academic coordinator role at Georgia Tech University. She oversaw all of Georgia Tech’s academic support structures for Women’s Basketball, Women’s Tennis, and Softball.

Cox has also worked in academic support positions at the University of South Florida, Austin Peay State University, and as an intern at Coastal Carolina.

A native of Buford, Ga., Cox received her undergrad degree in 2017 at Coastal Carolina University, where she majored in Recreation and Sport Management with a minor in Communication. She plans to pursue a postgraduate degree at St. Thomas.
