The Saturday Morning Entertainment Show - Is It Time For The Black Exodus

It's April of 2023 and it's All Fools Day. While we willingly leave the fools to their day, we will continue to celebrate because that's what we do here on the Saturday Morning Entertainment with host Ivor Henry and brought to you by Caribbean Global Voices.

Is it time for Black people to leave? One author and scholar seem to think so. As a panelist on a webinar on March 1, 2023, this noted scholar said, "I think people of colour need to get away from white people and have some community with each other."  Maybe you do not know who made the statement but what kind of person do you think would say something like this and why. Okay you may not know that either but can you guess the ethnicity and gender of this person. eg. Indian man, hispanic woman, black man. Do you think that this is a reasonable way of solving the problems of racism?

A white police officer is suing the police department. Edward Williams, a 21 year veteran of the Kansas City Police Department alleged in his law suit that he was told to target minority citizens and to issue tickets in minority neighborhoods to meet his quota. He also alleged that he should only respond to distress calls from white neigborhoods and was told to turn off his camera a few hours per day.
