The death of Queen Elizabeth II of the UK has been followed my a wide range of commentary and sentiments. While some grieve and mourn remembering her fondly and with gracious salutations, others are not so impressed. Should the people who have been subjected to the rule of British colonialism mourn the death of the Queen?

Mahatma Ghandi was jailed several times by the British for his political activism. It was September 16, 1932, ninety years ago, while on one of his prison stints, that he began a hunger strike to protest the caste system that the British had put in place in India. In the usual British style of divide and conquer, they divided the Indian population into political castes, practically assigning a different value and right of participation and benefit to each caste, the lowest being called the "untouchables". 

Texas and Florida Governors Gregg Abbott and Ron DeSantis have lured immigrants with promises of jobs, housing and immigration relief. Using this ploy, they gathered up the immigrants in their respective states and transported them to other states. Were these immigrants taken against their will and transported to a different location? This would suggest a criminal offense of kidnapping.

Many have concluded that racism is on the rise and getting worse. Is it? More incidents are reported but does that mean that they are happening more?
