Is our society getting better or worse? Polio, a paralyzing disease, once thought to have been completely eradicated has been detected in the sewer in New York. And it is suspected that people are infected. Gone are the days when scientists genuinely looked for cures and capitalism had not hijacked scientific research.

The U.S. Justice Department has finally filed charges against the police officers who murdered Brionna Taylor. It has even been claimed  that one of them falsified the warrant. How come Daniel Cameron, the Black Attorney General in Kentucky could only charge one officer for misconduct because he fired a shot into white people' s house? Do we really think that colorization of white institutions would be a game changer for Black people?

Blatant expressions of racist hostility are popping up everywhere, even on Sesame Street. A police chief and his Assistant chief were forced to resign after passing around racist texts. Is this because we are better at seeing them? Is it because White people are more comfortable with openly showing their disdain for the people the consider the inferior race? Or is it because today's technology makes is more available at a faster pace?

Serena Williams has announced her retirement from tennis and in addition to explaining the difficulty of retiring she wrote a powerful essay about the difficult choice that women are forced to make between career and family. Let's talk, join the conversation. This show is also about your voice. We'll be happy to hear from you.
