UnScripted - Hocus Pocus with Eric Yuhazs

Tonight, magician Eric Yuhazs joins UnScripted as he explains the art of illusion and turning illusion into reality for his middle school students. Experience Eric's magic for yourself as we talk about his beginnings and the art and skills of a magician in the 21st Century, and making magic in the age of COVID and quarantine.

Eric Yuhazs is an accomplished public school STEM teacher, and has spent the last two decades molding the minds of today’s youth. But the title of a STEM teacher is misleading, as his real passion lies in guiding students to develop and pursue their unique definition of success. To further enhance and deliver this message, he has married it with his other passion: Magic.

In addition to teaching, Eric has volunteered over the last 18 years at a local children’s hospital, where he has performed magic for well over 7,000 of the pediatric patients. He has crafted a way to combine his passion for magic and education by taking it on the “road” both virtually and literally.  Students from dozens of colleges, coast to coast, have been both entertained and educated by Eric’s performances, which include a discussion of how to craft their unique definition of success.  Whether it's called Motivational Magic or Magic with a Message, Eric is living out his goal of creating an army of successful students.
