SDG 149 Is it Biblical to Hate?
1 John 2:15-17
When you're a Christian, the Lord fills your heart with love, but we're taught by The Word not to love everything. In fact, as a child of God there are some things we cannot truly love and ought to actually hate,
Yes I said hate. Proverbs 8:13 says that fear of the LORD is to hate evil, pride, arrogance, the evil way and the lying mouth. And by the way this is the beginning of wisdom.
So in this message we’ll focus on “the world” AKA “the system” and just what exactly it means and doesn’t mean to hate Biblically and how “the system” has twisted the meaning of the word hate..
1 John 2:15-17 15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
