As a mother, I felt terrible about lying to my child about Santa; and then how I had to move heaven and earth to keep the magic alive and make sure that what she asked for was under the tree on Christmas morning. Not to mention the financial burden it put on me. And the reality is, most kids in grade school have cell phones and can google Santa Claus; so who are we fooling, and why are we lying to our children?
