Welcome to the show...today, Hammer and I welcome into the studio, author Diane Mullins...
Diane Mullins is a registered nurse with a Master’s degree in Health Care Management. For almost four decades, my passion has been helping to improve the patient-and-provider health care experience. I have created and supported quality health care programs including disease management, care management, health care advocacy and patient self-management. I have held prominent nursing and clinical leadership positions in various health care organizations and facilities, including: hospitals, ambulatory care practices, home health agencies, skilled nursing facilities, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), an Independent Practice Association (IPA) and a health plan.
She will be here, talking about her soon to be published book, Health Care and You: A Guide to Navigating the Health Care System and Becoming Your Own Best Advocate. If you would like to come in, and talk to Ms Mullins, this is just a couple of the healthcare topics we will be touching on:
How to choose health care providers ? How to effectively communicate with your health care providers ? How patient-provider collaboration will increase the quality of the care you receive ? How to reduce your health care costs ? How to better manage your chronic disease condition ? How to help prevent a healthcare-acquired infection ? How to evaluate the most effective health care options available ? How to make end-of-life planning preparations
If there is a specific question about healthcare you would like Ms Mullins to answer, the number is 319-527-6099. And stick around after this enlightening interview, because Brian and I will have headline news, entertainment, politics and more.
