Brian's welcomes Rain Pryor, Acclaimed Director, Actor, Stand-up Comedian, Educator, Dynamic Speaker, Mother, Artistic Director of the Strand Theater in Baltimore and Producer of current off Broadway show "Broke Wide Open"

A headlining stand-up in her own right not the drop it like it's hot kind. She fills her own shoes and is not trying to be her iconic father Richard Pryor. Her comedy attracts suburban housewives and their husbands, who fall in love with her ability to open up her life and talk real talk. She has featured regularly in Baltimore with good friend Mickey Cucchiella & Marc Unger. The Baltimore Sun chose Rain as one of 3 area comics to watch for.

"Fried Chicken & Latkes" is Pryor's award winning solo show based on her life. It is a irreverent and poignant look at racism in the 60's and 70's. Rain wrote and created her show adding her own original music and lyrics. A Los Angeles Times Critics Choice and her singing voice and timing were hailed as rare gifts.

Her show played to sold out crowds & standing ovations every night at the 375 seat Canon Theatre in Beverly Hills and repeated success at the Culture Project in NYC, Chicago, Ohio, Virginia, Texas and Scotland, Stelsin Theatre NYC 2012.

Growing up Black & Jewish gives Rain a unique perspective on race, religion and spirituality. She shares her views and has lead panel discussions on diversity in education & in the entertainment industry at Princeton Univ, The Jewish Federation of LA, Chicago & Baltimore.

Pryor made her television debut in 1989 as a series regular, TJ on the hit ABC series Head of the Class, a character adopted from Pryor's own monologs at the request of ABC Producers at her second audition.
