Our guest tonight will be Julie Workman. She is a a two time brain Aneurysm survivor. The first one rupturing on 6/4/2012. Surgery number one was the next day. Aneurysm number 2 was bigger than the first one but hadn’t started doing anything yet and because it was so big my neurosurgeon made it very clear how important it was to take care of it very soon so I had surgery number 2 on 8/14/2012.While on that operating table I experienced a stroke and had several Vaso spasms during my intensive care recovery. My mother is also a survivor. Hers did not rupture but she did experience the clipping surgery. Because of all of this Aneurysm experience I have been on a very large tirade for Aneurysm Awareness. I am a volunteer for The Brain Aneurysm Foundation having gone to Washington DC three different years begging National Legislators to pass different laws and/or Resolutions that they file. I’ve also come back down to Indiana and done the same thing here which has gotten me a seat on the board of the Brain Injury Association of Indiana.
