Tonight I have a very special guest Chelsea Boyette (Chel-see Boy-et) who is a Certified and licensed Recreational Therapist and also a Certified Brain Injury Specialist. She is the Day Program Coordinator at Hinds' Feet Farm, which is a non-profit that serves adults with brain injuries.
Chelsea is here today to talk about an awareness project that started at Hinds' Feet Farm called Unmasking Brain Injury. The mission of Unmasking Brain Injury is to promote awareness of the prevalence of brain injury; to give survivors a voice and the means to educate others of what it’s like to live with a brain injury; to show others that persons living with a disability due to their brain injury are like anyone else, deserving of dignity, respect, compassion and the opportunity to prove their value as citizens in their respective communities.
Dream Catchers is a place to gather your thoughts, Dreams, Hopes and ambitions and bring them to life so I am excited to bring to you our wonderful guest tonight to share with you about the wonderful program called unmasking Brain Injury which is a wonderful way to tell the many stories of survivors in a bold new way!
