Brain Injury found me through by wife’s auto accident on Sept 12, 1989. I nothing about brain injury and then began my journey to educate myself and in doing so I began helping other families and their survivor family member. It has not been easy as I am a Male and I have no female network as I have seen. When Mary’s accident occurred we had been married three years and she was 20 yoa. We lost an entire income when we live on two incomes. It has not been easy yet we are still together now 31 years. I love her very much.

My world consists of survivors and families. Today, I advocate for them and educate everyone on brain injury.

1990 Established a Support Group for TBI survivors and Families in Valdosta  Georgia.

1992 Georgia Brain Injury Assn. Family Council Award.

1993 Operated the largest support group in Georgia.

1993 Given a Proclamation for Brain Injury in Valdosta Georgia.

1994 Roosevelt Warm Springs Partnership Award for Treatment

1994 Served on the Governors Occupant Safety Task Force.

1994-2012 Worked to assist Survivors and Families in multiple ways.

2010-2016 Created a TBI Survivor based Therapy Dog school reading program.

2012 Established Brain Injury Advocate Services of Georgia

2012 Advocated for Brain Injury as a notation on the Georgia Driver’s License/Georgia I.D. Cards.

2012 Train All Law Enforcement throughout Georgia.

2014 Began assisting Military TBI survivors and families in Georgia/America.

2017 Bagan a monthly Brain Injury live radio segment.
