Gavin Attwood is the Chief Executive Officer for Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado (BIAC) - BIAColorado.org.  BIAC is the go-to resource for help and services for survivors of an injury to the brain, their families and providers. Prior to the position with BIAC, Gavin was the VP of Marketing and Events for the National Sports Center for the Disabled based in Denver, CO. He brings many years of fundraising, marketing and organizational leadership to BIAC.

In addition to his role as CEO of BIAC, Gavin is the chair of the recently formed United States Brain Injury Alliance www.USBIA.org. He also serves as the Chair of the Colorado Brain Injury Collaborative that successfully passed ‘Jake’s Law’ in March 2011. This law seeks to protect youth athletes from the effects of multiple concussions. Gavin is regularly asked to present at brain injury conferences around the US.

Later in the show, we’ll be joined by Debbie Wilson (debbiewilson.com), fellow survivor, to close out Brain Injury Awareness Month with one of her many enlightening writings, that capsulizes the story that so many of us are living.

This show is a gathering place for anyone seeking recovery from the challenges of life on life's terms. We discuss useful tools that have helped us lighten the load, of our journey through recovery. This is a "we" recovery program, because it is in the "we," that we find the new "me."

We focus on the four A's of Recovery: Awareness, Acceptance, Action and Adaptation. This is a place for survivor's striving to become thrivers. Thanks to our sponsor braininjurytrial.com & see how YOU may benefit too! Visit site or call 1-877-847-4284
