On Tuesday, November 8, 2016, history was made, the election to President of the United States, by a man who never held public office or served in the military. Donald Trump is will be the first president born in NYC, since Theodore Roosevelt, and New Yorkers will tell you, the city has become the hub of political excitement, as host of Trump-staff hopefuls’ descent to Trump Tower, daily. Even Prime Minister Abe of Japan, met with the president-elect.

Yet, there are those who will be forever haunted by the defeat of Hillary Clinton, who a in a sense, crying “foul”, in that they want to abolish the electoral college altogether, which is fueled by the fact that Hilary Clinton did receive more popular votes, than did Mr. Trump (presuming they’re all legitimate votes – more on that, later).

In the meantime, given the fear that Donald Trump will deport illegal immigrants, those “sanctuary cities” and now, “sanctuary college campuses”, have vowed to defy this possible action, in defiance of the law, as they have been for some time.

The electoral college was and is, a stroke of genius, designed to give the “little states” a more proportionate voice in determining the presidential election results, despite what the naysayers say NOW (though it’s forgotten that Mrs. Clinton broached this, after the 2000 election).

It goes without saying, the weeks leading up to January 20, 2017, and the next four years, are met with anticipation uncertainty, hope and foreboding (all in the eyes of the beholder).

As a note, at some point we will bring Elder George back to Critical Discourse, as he prepares for his manhood/man development event, to be held in January of next year, in Harlem.

Oh. At this point, I give Trump a C+ in his cabinet picks so far.
