ASA,

I thought they were joking, when the news came out, that Donald Trump was headed to Mexico, to actually speak with its president.

According to news reports, this meeting has caused Trump to lose Hispanic support; I really wonder if they were going to support him, anyways (after all, these reports are from MS-NBC).

As always, whatever "island" you stand upon, immigration will always be a fact of life, as it has been, throughout history. People have at times, for legitimate reasons, left the nations of their birth, to escape suppression, oppression or just an improved standard of life.

As such, the host nations can be overburdened, if the new citizens arrive en masse' or do not meld with the expected mores' and laws.

From where I stand, Trump at times, does lend to the image that he'd go overboard, despite the general validity of his position. For one, how does one "prove" their allegiance to a nation? For example, are we to challenge the citizenship / residency rights of S.F. quarterback, Colin Kaepernick?

Speaking of, doesn't quite have the impact to me, as the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City, but it's worth discussing.

I do have to wonder, the impact his actions, with respect to his purported cause, and I will say for the record: This flag IDOLATRY has to end!, but we must be aware of the sensitivities, thereof.
