C.D. - The Attack on Femininity & Masculinity, The Baltimore PD Study & Blacks

As-Salaam-Alaikum,

Last week, we veered off topic, in order to discuss the 2016 Summer Olympic Games, in particular, the issue of women athletes, and the extent to which this in general, promotes masculinity and diminishes femininity.

While we will not spend much time on this, I feel it’s important, especially from [my understanding] of Islamic principles and culture, that we are very clear what manhood and womanhood are, the importance of maintaining them, in light of intense social re-engineering, that has created social and physiological anomalies.

And of course, we will discuss the increasingly intense presidential race. I will chime in on Hillary Clinton’s statement, “the man, who I ran against in 2008, trusted me enough, to make me his Secretary of State”, which only adds further credence to P.T. Barnum.

But, in light of the overall concerns about police misconduct against black Americans, I really want to review the DOJ’s Baltimore Police Department Report, as we need to come to grips with the realities that face both police departments, nationwide, and the communities they are sworn to serve.
