ASA,

By now, we all have heard about the incendiary comments that GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, made during his declarative speech.

His comments regarding the impact of [Mexican] illegal immigration on the United States have been met with a firestorm of rebuke, even within the GOP. Many have called them "hateful" or "disgusting", as it appears that his language could have been more tempered, as to not appear to be broad-brushed on all Mexicans.

While this writer fully appreciates and agrees with much, none the less, the Democrats are using these comments to obscure and stifle debate on the entire issue of illegal immigration.

This has been covered on Critical Discourse in the past, but given the news, warrants another look; Obama's intellectual-dishonest "comprehensive immigration reform", Arizona's SB-1070, which was gutted by the SCOTUS, and much more, including the value added that immigrants in general, bring to the table.

Seems like, now former BPD Commissioner Anthony Batts, was scapegoated by Mayer Rawlings-Blake, in the wake of the tragic death of Freddie Gray, and the riots which ensued, rocking the city at its core (yes, Barack Obama referred to the rioters as "thugs" - even he can be correct!). And to make matters worse, Baltimore has experienced a murder-wave, the likes of which hadn't been experienced, since 1975.

Mayor Rawlings-Blake said "... we need a change ..."

When does her term expire? And you know what I'm driving at!

As Ramadan is winding down, there's much to reflect on, to the above issues, but more importantly, the state of our souls.

Let's tune in this Saturday, July 11th.

Tell a neighbor; tell a friend to call in or listen to what is fast becoming the pre-eminent blog-talk show where you hear real, critical and intellectual discourse.
