Just a few moments ago (yesterday afternoon), attorneys for the family of slain teenager, Michael Brown, issued a statement, calling for justice, that they say is forthcoming, and expressing outrage at what they and many, consider to be posthumous character-assassination.

Much has transpired since the shooting of Brown, 18, at the hands of whom we know now, is Officer Darren Wilson, a six-year veteran of the Ferguson, Missouri Police Department.

Yet, much remains unexplained, as to exactly what led to the confrontation between Brown and Wilson, and the shooting.

There were protests, some violent, replete with looting of liquor and convenience stores, as well as peaceful demonstrations, both, manifestations of what is seen as simmering tensions between the black community and the police.

While I wanted to take up last week’s conversation, by speaking directly to the Renisha McBride (now, 2nd-Degree murder case), the events in Ferguson have pushed this again and unfortunately, to the side; though some would argue their eerily similarities. And I do want to at some point, discuss in depth, Obama’s Afri-Con meeting with over 50 African leaders.

Yes, there will be another Iraq War.

Long Live Marcus Garvey!
