The fact remains, in this dynamic called “life”, we are ever-witnessing the life-turning and shattering events,which indelibly will leave a mark on our psyches' for years to come. Case in point, the carnage in Newtown, Connecticut, where 26 people were murdered at the hands of a gunman. Something has gone greatly amiss in the minds of the populace, for even with much gain, there is much loss.

What came as a surprise to many, was the decision of U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice, to withdraw her name from consideration as the next Secretary of State, to succeed Hillary Clinton. While I’ve been critical of Ambassador Rice, one must admit that in a sense, she was made a scapegoat with regards to the carnage and killing of the U.S. Ambassador, Stevens, at Bengazhi, Libya. But as time went on, it was obvious she was going to face an uphill battle with a GOP, not satisfied with her remarks and comments on television interviews, about Benghazi.

We will also cover what has pretty much taken a back seat in our affairs, the looming Fiscal Cliff, and discuss the decision of Federal Reserve Chairman Bernanke, to make the prime rate a function of the national unemployment rate.
