I have found that most everybody that lives for God wants to be involved in the ministry of God. A lot of people seek positions like being on the platform or positions that put them in front of people. What these people do not realize is that this type of position also puts a big target on you by Satan. This is not just to attack you as a person but if other people look up to you and they see you fail or fall then his attack can affect the faith of other people who look up to you. This is why most pastors have guidelines regarding who they allow to be in this type of position in their church. What a lot of people will do is attach themselves to another person's ministry. This gives them a chance to learn, be nurtured, and mature in their relationship with God. They can take advantage of the flow of the spirit that is working though the person that is in charge of that ministry. You will be targeted by Satan in this position also. So it is important that you continue to grow and mature in your relationship with God. If not you can still influence other people in a negative way and even be a problem to the person in charge of the ministry that is trying to help you grow. A lot of people like to call their wanting to control other people a ministry. I am not talking about the pastor but people that try to clean up others that come into a church and call it their God given authority to do. We will look at ministry as God has established it to be according to his word. You will enjoy what Bro Henson has for us tonight and hopefully we can all learn more about what God wants from each of us.
