"Jesus is the Living Word"  John 14:1-14 

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

One of the most important titles of Christ is Logos (which means Word).  I went to the Webster dictionary looked up Logos and this is what it said:  the divine wisdom manifested in the creation, government, and redemption of the world and often identified with the second person of the Trinity.  The idea behind this title embodied God revelation of Himself to humanity. Jesus is God’s nature. John is letting us know that Jesus is fully human and fully God. Although Jesus took upon Himself full humanity and lived as a man, He never ceased to be the eternal God who has always existed, the Creator and Sustainer of all things and the source of enteral life.  This is the truth about Jesus and the foundation of all truth.  If we cannot or do not believe this basic truth, we will not have enough faith to trust our eternal destiny to Him.  John wrote this Gospel to build faith and confidence in Jesus Christ so that we may believe that He truly was and is the Son of God. Jesus was sent by the Father as Jesus the Christ to be God revealed in the flesh for our salvation. Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully human, two natures in one Person.
