A New Year's resolution is a tradition, in which a person makes a promise to do an act of self-improvement or something nice. At watch night services, many Christians prepare for the year ahead by praying and with a strong desire to be better. This concept, is to reflect upon self-improvement with a desire to become better annually.

“Start with the End in Mind” which means to envision what you want in the future so you can work and plan towards it.  Your resolution should not just be for a year, but a life time. These changes should become a way of life  “Begin with the excepted end in mind”  We must begin to set our sight on things above which would guarantee success when we realize that only what you do for Christ will last. We should make our plans with a spirit of expectancy knowing with God all things are possible.  The Word of God in Matthew 6:33 says But seek yea first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
