Jesus had to die so that we could live eternally”   Romans 8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. To truly understand this scripture we must examine what the word condemned means.  Webster dictionary says: sentenced to a particular punishment, especially death officially declared unfit for use, an unfavorable or adverse judgment; indicate strong disapproval of; censure to pronounce to be guilty. I then went to the bible dictionary and it reads: an act of pronouncing someone guilty after weighing the evidence, we all was found guilty and received the penalty of sin death in eternal damnation. We were on death row and had no winning defense for ourselves we needed a Savior. There was nothing we could do in and of ourselves to save ourselves.  Oh but God look at the situation which was not how He planned so He made a way out of no way.  John 3:16 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God send His only begotten Son to die so that we may live eternally. He offered grace by faith in His Son for our justification. Jesus for the condemnation of sin, He paid the price all to Him we owe. When we are justified by God, we receive redemption, which is salvation; because Christ’s blood took away our sin once and for all and where there is no sin there in no condemnation. We are saved by grace, unearned, under deserved favor from God through faith and complete trust in Christ alone and His finished work.   When we accept Christ our verdict is not guilty; let him go free, what did those words means to you since you were on death row?
