You must believe that God is in total control and He is working all things out for your good. Faith is what makes you thank God for what you have and totally trust Him for what need."Faith in action" Hebrews 11:1-16

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

This is not a definition of faith, but it lets us know what faith does. Faith is “being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.”  If you can see it you don’t need faith. Two words describe faith: sure and certain.  These two qualities need a secure beginning and ending point.  The beginning point of faith believes in God character – He is who He says He is. The end point believes in God promises – He does what He says He will do.   When we believe that God will fulfill His promises even though we don’t see those promises materializing yet, we demonstrate true faith. You have to be careful who or what you place your faith in.   The bible lets us know that man will let us down.  Hebrews the 11th Chapter is called the Bible Hall of Fame which includes 'the cloud of witnesses'.  According to the Bible, faith is belief and trust in the one true God without actually seeing Him.
