“Thank God for what you have and trust him for what your need”

This is Paul’s praise in the mist of his storms.  The Philippians shared in Paul’s financial support while he was in prison. Paul didn’t accept everyone’s support, because he didn’t want them to think that he was only doing it for the money.  He accepted the Philippians gifts because they were willing givers and he was in need.  But he also was letting them know that it was the church’s responsibly to support God’s ministers. No matter what he had or didn’t have he would be content because he was thankful for what he had and trusted God for what he needed.  Because of this Paul was able to rejoice in the Lord greatly always giving a praise report.  Paul would be content because he could see life from God’s point of view and was always thankful to God for what he had done, was doing and has promised to. How can we find true contentment? The answer lies in our perspective, our priorities and who is our source. It’s never what we go through but who we go through it with.

Come and join us in the comfort of you home, as we explore the Word of God together.
