Ester took her chances and went before the king.  Anyone approaching the king without being summoned was immediately put to death. When the king saw her it pleased him.  She set up a banquet with Haman the one that hated Mordecai because he wouldn’t bow down to him and the Jews because they were always their enemies. He even got buy in from the king and even offered silver for the King’s treasury for whoever carries out the business of destroying the Jews. Esther enlisted Mordecai to gather the Israelites together and fast for three days. Esther’s fast could have no other object but to obtain God’s favor and protection in the dangerous course on which she was about to enter: and she stated “And if I perish, I perish”.  Esther is a lesson in God’s sovereignty over His creation. He maneuvers every aspect of life to position people, governments, and situations for His plan and purpose. We may never know what God is doing, but a time might come when we realize why
