“Is your light shining?” Philippians 2:12-15

"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father"

Paul is letting them know how they should act when he is with them and when he’s not. True character is doing what is right when no one is looking, just doing the right thing because it just the right thing to do.  Christ has given us the gift of salvation to enter eternity once we believed, but he also is giving us salvation to be able to have “righteous living” in His kingdom here on earth for we are being sanctified daily.  You must know that God’s salvation is not just for the hereafter, but in provides grace and mercy,   rescue from danger seen and unseen, renewal and restoration for us here and now on earth for our daily life.  As the scripture states we should work out our own salvation.  We are being saved daily. We are not working to be saved or to receive salvation, but because we are saved and have the hope of salvation then we should want to work. Faith without works is dead, not works to be saved, but work because of that salvation.
