Steve Arrington On Brunch In The Basement With JaVonne

Steve Arrington joined the funk group Slave on their 3rd LP origjnally to play percusson. He became the drummer, a backing vocalist and then eventually the lead on such songs as "Just a Touch of Love", "Watching You" and "Wait For Me". He left Slave in 1982 and formed Steve Arrington's Hall of Fame and had such hit singles as "Weak At The Knees" and "Nobody can Be You But You". His most successful album was a solo project, "Dancing in the Key of Life" The title track became a top 1en R&B hit and was number 2 on the dance charts. Steve Arrington was nominated for the NAACP Image Award for Best Male Artist in 1986.
