Honoring Father & Mother: God’s Honor System

”…Behold, I am going to send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord. And he will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse.”                              Malachi 4:5-6 (NAS).

In this lesson, we look at the law of honoring and how it affects our lives powerfully and completely. For prayer ministers, the absolute reliability of God’s law is protection against deception (Hebrews 4:12  For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart). Through the Holy Spirit and the Word, we help people recognize the excuses, rationalizations and smokescreens they use to justify sin.
