This week Burke is joined by author and Afghanistan native, Nasir Shansab.
Nasir has spent many years traveling all around the world having revisited Afghanistan multiple times since tensions have risen within the country decades ago.
Nasir spends the podcast talking about what it’s like to grow up in Afghanistan along with the hardships and burdens that the average Afghani suffers from. He also dives into the multitude of mistakes and poor decisions made on behalf of dozens of figures in power that inevitably led to last weekend’s insurrection at the hand of Taliban forces.
Along with this, he takes on the big question of determining whether or not the United States should continue its presence in Afghanistan from this point forward.
With years of memories and experiences in Afghanistan, Nasir even tells a story about the time he met the infamous Osama Bin Laden.
